Selling Tips

  • Sweep sidewalk, mow the lawn, trim the bushes, weed the garden and clean debris from the yard.
  • Clean the windows (inside and out) and make sure the paint is not chipped or flaking.
  • Be sure the doorbell works.
  • Clean clutter from all rooms, closets, and drawers.  Most important, keep the bathrooms and kitchen looking spotless.
  • Make sure appliances and fixtures work.  Get rid of leaky faucets and frayed cords.  If you haven’t already, then you may want to consider purchasing a home warranty.
  • Remove bad odors from your home.  Smoking and pet odors can be a turn off to potential buyers.  Smells of baking cookies or pies or even spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove will give your house a warm welcome home feeling.
  • Consider a vase of fresh flowers throughout the house.
